Overview

Visiting Rann of Kutch from Jamnagar

The Great Rann of Kutch is a vast seasonal salt marsh that turns brilliant white in the dry months. At Dhordo, the Rann Utsav brings tent stays, folk performances and handicraft stalls each winter, and full-moon nights over the salt flats are something visitors talk about for years.

The drive from Jamnagar runs through Morbi and Bhuj, roughly 350 km in total. Most travellers stop in Bhuj for the palaces and markets before continuing to the White Rann for sunset, with the views from Kalo Dungar the following morning.
