Dwarka Trip from Jamnagar

Dwarka is the trip we are asked for most — close enough for a day, rich enough that many families stay overnight. Here is how to plan it by cab from Jamnagar.

  • ≈ 137 km from Jamnagar
  • 2.5–3 hours each way
  • Day trip

Overview

Visiting Dwarka from Jamnagar

Dwarka sits on Gujarat's western tip, where the Gomti river meets the Arabian Sea. At its centre is the Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, and around it lie Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and some of the cleanest beaches on the Saurashtra coast.

From Jamnagar the drive is roughly 137 km along the coastal highway through Khambhalia, usually around two and a half to three hours. Leaving early lets you reach for the morning darshan, cross to Bet Dwarka before midday and still have time for Shivrajpur beach on the way back.

Planning around festivals

Temple timings change on festival days, and Dwarka is extremely busy around Janmashtami and Holi. Tell us your plans when booking so the driver can suggest the best order for your visits.
